Slugs
I hate slugs. I always have, but I never really thought about it much because I didn't come into contact with them too often. But now I see them all the time, and they piss me off 'cause I have to make sure I don't step on them if I don't want a huge pile of goo on the bottom of my shoe.Whenever it rains, all the slugs that live in the bushes around my work come running out (yes, running) to avoid drowning. And the damn sidewalk is littered with them. Most of them are the size of my thumb and they're all this very dark brown color and the skin has some sort of appearance like sandpaper or something else rough that has been covered in slime. And I hate them.

My sympathies are with you, they are truly disgusting creatures, with no redeeming features that I can think of. With all the rain we have been getting its very damp and they love that. Salt wil kill them, but unfortunately it can be very messy, as they tend to explode! Slug pellets are very effective but before they expire they seem to produce masses of slime - so that kind of defeats the object as well. Personally I go for the slug pellets, at least it stops them eating my petunias :-)
